Important Message from North Oak

Important Message from North Oak

“Ready, Set, GOOOO!!!!”

We are pleased to announce that, having contacted the Governor’s Office who referred us to the Ellis County Health Department, we may begin services with some reasonable restrictions.  Soooo?
SO, WE ARE RETURNING TO WORSHIPING TOGETHER THIS SUNDAY, MAY 24.
Following is our plan until things return to full normalcy:

  1. Cautions:
    1. Please feel free to return to services when you are comfortable.  It is a matter of conscience for each household and we will continue livestreaming at 10:00 AM on Sundays.
    2. Please stay at home if you are feeling ill and especially if you are running a fever or have a cough.
    3. As you enter the Church Property and Facilities, it is important that we maintain Social Distancing (remain 6 feet apart)
  1. Service Details:
    1. There will be three services each Sunday morning for the foreseeable future:

                                          i.    8:30 AM:  especially for those who are most vulnerable (seniors and/or immunocompromised individuals).

ii.    10:00 AM:  Family-focused service will be livestreamed (We hope to begin children’s ministry in June, we will update you when things are in place).

iii.    11:30 AM:  Another Family-focused service (We hope to begin children’s ministry in June, we will update you when things are in place).

    1. Social Distancing restrictions necessitate limiting each Sunday Service to 70 people.

                                          i.    IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU REGISTER BELOW  which service you plan to attend.

ii.    Those living under the same roof need not social distance themselves from each other.

    1. Other Restrictions:

                                          i.    There will be an offering box near the entrance doors of the sanctuary rather than passing offering plates.  Those not attending are encouraged to continue online giving or mailing it to the office.

ii.    Bulletins will be available near the entrance to the sanctuary for those who desire to pick one up rather than being handed out.

iii.    Coffee/Juice fellowship in the Gathering Space will not resume until we return to full normalcy.

  1. Midweek:
    1. Office Hours:  9:00-3:00 Monday through Thursday, and 9:00-noon on Friday.
    2. Small Groups of 10 or less may continue to meet at the Church facilities provided rooms are available and social distancing can be maintained.

NOCC Women’s Conference “Beauty Secrets of Titus 2”

NOCC Women’s Conference “Beauty Secrets of Titus 2”

“WOMAN TO WOMAN. OLDER AND YOUNGER. SIDE BY SIDE. LIFE ON LIFE.”
Understanding that many are the plans in a woman’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails, we are moving ahead with plans to gather July 11, 2020, for a day-conference to explore the beauty secrets of Titus 2.
This is a multi-generational event with a breakout session planned for ages 12-18 on the topic of purity.
Lunch will be provided.
Please feel free to direct any questions you may have to a member of the planning committee:  Genell Albert, Kara Olmstead, Anna Schmidtberger, or Sherrill Weeks.
We hope you will be able to join us!

Sermon Series: Conversations

Sermon Series: Conversations

A study of Jesus’ conversations with the far from God.

Mostly from the Gospel of John
CONVERSATIONS:  A series of messages born out of this Interim’s grieving heart.  Most churches that need an Intentional Interim Ministry (something more than someone to preach on Sundays and make hospital visits) are in need of IPM because they have forgotten their MISSION:  summed up in Jesus’ words, “My meat (food) is to do the will of Him Who sent me!”  And what is that WILL? He had just had a conversation with a woman at the well (we’ll study that in a couple of weeks)…
Most IPM churches are asking one question, “How did we get here?”  Answer is so simple: “We lost sight of the mission to which we are called!”

ZOOM Life Groups!

Life is better together! In a season of "shelter-in-place" it is hard to feel connected with other people. That is why we are creating ZOOM Life Groups! ZOOM refers to an online meeting that allows you to meet face-to-face with other people. These groups will provide you with an opportunity to study God's Word, fellowship, and pray with other people.
