Many popular Christian phrases, books, and even sermons partially or wholly conflict with Scripture.  That's one reason it is so important to examine everything through the lens of the Bible.  Our class goes through Christian books and uses passages of the Bible to discuss the topics that arise from a Biblical perspective.
